So this is love……hmm hmm hmm hmm.

Hello blog world!
I present to you Jillian and Kelly, two people completely and totally 100% enthralled with each other. (I was enthralled with them both by the end of the shoot.) (True story.) Their engagement session was so relaxing and fun to shoot, with amazing light to boot. (Should I start doing all blog posts in rhyme? I don’t know if I have the time.) It was relaxing even after giant, monster sprinklers came on in the middle of a location and completely soaked my back. That’s how cool Jillian and Kelly are.

Dusk, is.

“Dusk, is just an illusion, because the sun is either above the horizon or below it. And that means that day and night are linked in a way that few things are; there cannot be one without the other, yet they cannot exist at the same time. How would it feel, I remember wondering to be always together, yet forever apart?”

From now on!

Hello! It is Quinn, resident blogging fool at Glasser Images.

I have recently realized two character flaws of mine:
A.) I have repeatedly found myself sitting on my couch, thinking to myself “Oh, Quinn. Why don’t you blog more? Whenever you get the motivation to do it, you love it. AND you get to post lots of photos AND you get to type paragraphs of thoughts that would otherwise never see the light of day. How about instead of just thinking about blogging, you actually sit down and do it!

B.) I have a slight addiction to the ease/comfort/simplicity of going on Facebook and tossing a photo from a recent shoot up on our wall and calling it good. Because it’s a good way to keep people who like us (holla!) in the loop and keep our work up to date.  I have been trying to ignore the fact that it’s slightly lazy and sometimes the photos doooooon’t always look the same on Facebook as they do on our monitors. (This is a lie. They never ever ever look the same.)

So I have come up with an equation (and they said I’d never use knowledge from my Algebra class again. HAH.)

The desire to keep                        The need for a
the blog up and                +        solution to cure my           =         BLOGGING SOME PHOTOS, GOSH DARN IT.
running because                        Facebook wall photo
I enjoy it                                       addiction

So that’s the plan! If I feel the need to show the world a photo we have taken and love (see: everyday) I am going to throw it on the blog and not be a lazy pile of lackadaisicalness. I am terrified that there are some people that will pass the link to the blog by, not having the drive to click it open and see the photos they normally would have been FORCED to see on Facebook….but in the name of good photos and quality (creativitypersonality) I will take the chance! I am not saying there will never be photos straight to Facebook again. (come on, everyone cracks.) But I am going to try! HERE WE GO!

This is Jillian and her fiance Kelly, and booooooooy did I have a blast shooting them! I will for sure share more of their engagement session, but for now I will drop this gem.

I almost want to annotate this with a big red marker so everyone knows why I love it so much:

A.) I had them sit in the middle of the field we were in, posed them, told Jillian to look to camera and she did this for ONE frame and I thank my lucky stars I was ready in time.
B.) I am so so so in love with her freckles.
C.) My GOSH she’s beautiful
D.) THEY LOVE EACH OTHER SO MUCH.

Please click on the photo to see it 45.83x (approximately) bigger on your screen! It gets so much better.

We are marked for death! (Just kidding.) (We’re marked for awesomeness.)

Hey there ho there, bloggy blog world. (Get it? Get it? I crack myself up.) This is Quinn.

This blog post is dedicated to the art of watermarks. Us folks here in the Glasser Images offices have recently been going through a traumatic watermark experience. The Great Watermark Incident of 2011 (TGWI of 2011) has just concluded and we are dead tired. A war of sorts has been raging under our roof and the cause of much strife and heartache. Okay. Not really. But it has been an experience. Quite a few months ago, we realized “Oh! We should get ourselves a watermark!” It was a good, solid idea. Weeks pass, as we are A.) busy B.) tired C.) tired and busy. Once we finally sat down and agreed it was time to get the watermark ball rolling, there were differing opinions. We actually had heated discussions over black vs. white, fonts, layouts, opacity, you name it. Some battles were won (by me) and some were lost (also by me). Nevertheless, it is here! We have given birth to a watermark baby and we love it. Now everyone will know what is who’s and who’s is what and that the photos are indeed a product of Glasser Images. (In case there was any doubt. I don’t think there was.) Enjoy!

*Note: These occurrences were far less dramatic that what appears above. No one was injured or anything. We are just excited and I wanted to write a paragraph.
*Note #2: Not all of the names on the watermarks are correct, I just threw together some examples and wanted to give a shout out to everyone!

How we spent our Tuesday morning (and an open letter to summer).

Hello! How is everyone? I am about to pull out all of my hair because I. WANT. SUMMER. Badly. Very, very badly.  If I sit for too long, all I do is think about warm air and big fluffy clouds and the smell of sunscreen (one of the best smells ever) and that golden light at sunset that wraps all around you. And then I look at the weather outside and my heart goes from
HERE!
to

here.

I know it will get here eventually, but I’ll throw this out there. (ahem.)

Dear Summer, (are you listening?)
If you hurry up, I will be so so happy.
If you hurry up, I will be gleeful and run through fields of wild flowers.
If you hurry up, I will bake you cupcakes.
XOXO
Quinn

Photo time! (You all knew I’d get there eventually.) We had these litter buggers in the studio extreeeeemely  recently (this morning) and we had a blast! When their mom mentioned bringing an Eames chair, it made Jack giddy (I had to google it. I was then equally as giddy.) And tah dah, the chair was a perfect prop and both kids were so stinkin’ cute. This makes for a good Tuesday morning!

This last shot cracks.me.up.
